Who is Kevin "The Alchemist" Sonney?

Kevin Sonney started hanging out on the old dial-up BBSes in 1986. Hey, there wasn't much else for a teen-ager to do in Raleigh, NC at the time.

He started using "The Alchemist" as his handle in 1990, when he started his own BBS. "The Alchemist's Laboratory" is remembered to this day for it's quirky (to put it mildly) users and SysOp.

In 1991, Kevin went to work for DaVinci Systems. Davinci is where he met his futre wife, Renee. DaVinci eventually led to a consulting Job in NYC in 1993.

Life in the Big Apple is tiring, and Kevin and Renee returned to North Carolina in 1995, eventually settling in the small town of Moncure, NC.

On July 4, 1998, Renee gave birth to their first child, Raymond Eric

Not satisifed with his current contract at IBM, Kevin moved to a (now failed) startup in the Spring of 1999, and then webslingerZ, Inc in November of 1999.

In 2000, the house in Moncure got to small, and they moved into a bigger house just up the road in Pittsboro, NC.

All that space made them lonely, and on October 18, 2001, Jacob Adrian was born.

Not content at webslingerz, Kevin got a dream job at Red Hat in August of 2002.

As of this writing, Kevin, Renee, Raymond, and Jacob have a great house, two cats, and plenty of computers.
